:::Who are RAVE2RESIST?:::
We are a loose network of people who, in collaboration with various crew, have brought you DIY warehouse fundravers such as Boats not Borders, Boats not Borders vol II, Crust Rave and Scomophobia Vol 1. We are militant, autonomous, unaffiliated, not for profit, and anticapitalist. We combine fundraising and raving to bring to you FUNDRAVERS that incorporate the best of DIY party vibes and raising money to fuck the system. We mash all your favourite music including punk, hc, dub, hiphop, techno, dnb, breakcore, noise and more.
Ever wondered what happened to Melbourne's world-class political DIY music scene?
Ever wanted to spend your night supporting frontline activist projects, getting fucked up and getting cut by hitting the moshpit and dancefloor hard for hours with your mates?
R2R FUNDRAVERS are for YOU!
:::Where will proceeds be donated to?:::
Sail 4 Justice
The Sail 4 Justice crew has been raising awareness and protesting about a range of intersecting issues in the Pacific such as climate change, the illegal imprisonment of people in concentration camps on Manus Island, the Australian government's support of the military occupation of West Papua and the ongoing colonisation of this continent. They are demanding recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sovereignty through the act of presenting the men on Manus with Aboriginal passports, a kangaroo skin and sacred fire ashes from Uncle Kevin Buzzacott. They are also bringing medical supplies, solidarity messages and donations to the people on Manus.
