DOLPHIN (UK) [[OBLIVION UNDERGROUND / PRSPCT / DEATHCHANT / KOMKOMMS]]

Rawkin out clubs since 94. Owner of the ‘now-legendary/forgotten’ 3rd Planet Records, Dj supremo, mashup tunes for a tenner genuine geezer.

An integral part of the hardcore dance music scene since the early 90s, Dolphin started writing electronic music way back in 1986 with an Atari computer, a Yamaha keyboard and a Roland drum machine. His early efforts were inspired by early electro pioneers like Afrika Bambaataa and electronic music artists like Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre. Already an avid young record collector with an eclectic taste in music, he bought his first pair of turntables and started learning to mix in 1988, just as early acid house and techno started taking off in the clubs. After becoming increasingly involved in the club and dance music scene of the early nineties, he opened 3rd Planet Records in 1994, arguably one the best hardcore record shops in the UK in the mid nineties. Gigs soon followed and he built a solid reputation as a DJ, playing some of the biggest raves in the UK at the time. This lead to bookings abroad and it wasn’t long before he was headlining parties all over Europe.

He has had countless releases and remixes since over the last 20+ years on labels like The Third Movement, Prspct, Deathchant, Industrial Strength, Pacemaker, Ninja Columbo as well as the legendary, cutting edge electronica label Planet Mu. In 20011 he started his own label, Komplex Kommunications (or KomKoms for short), to release a more emotive style of hardcore. His production style draws on the broad range of music that inspires him, from classical to soul to industrial and everything in between.

With over 25 years of experience DJing and producing behind him, Dolphin has played at countless clubs and parties as well as playing at some of the world’s most distinguished outdoor electronic music festivals like Dominator, Defqon.1, Glade or Boomtown. And with no signs of slowing up and many more releases on the way, Dolphin continues to forge his own path writing and performing the music that he loves.

JOE ET (UK) [[OBLIVION UNDERGROUND]]

Joe is the key figure at Oblivion Underground Events and Oblivion Underground Recordings. With 20 years in the scene, he has promoted over 45 parties and has performed at 100s of events across the UK and around the world. He is now one of the most accomplished and experienced DJ's and promoters in Europe. Joe’s hunger has developed and despite him not (yet) having any of his own releases to date, his unwavering commitment to the scene and talent as a DJ have seen him play at huge festivals like Dominator, Q-Base, PRSPCT XL., Heresy, Footworxx, MuSick, Therapy Sessions, Ibiza Goes Hard, Hardcore Around The World, Leeds Festival and many more. As well as his crushing solo performances, Joe has featured in B2B/VS sets with (among others) Tymon, Deathmachine, Dolphin, Detest, Penta, Splinter Cell & Tugie.

Joe’s passion for Hardcore began with an introduction to rave in 1993. He instantly got the bug and was spending all of his pocket money on tapes and avidly collecting flyers and memorabilia. This continued through his school years and by 1999 he was mixing Hardcore and Techno vinyl and running smaller events in bars and youth clubs. In 2001 he got involved in event promotion following a meeting with Tom Oblivion, and started running Oblivion in Leicester at Club Soho. Joe never looked back and by this time was 100% dedicated to promoting Oblivion and Hardcore music in all its forms. Oblivion took off in a big way through 2002-2004, with the biggest acts from all over the world and the cream of the UK's talent featuring. As a DJ, Joe ET flourished alongside Oblivion, fuelled by his passion and drive. Oblivion Underground now runs events, label nights and tours across Germany, Belgium, Holland, Japan & UK.

SHOWBOAT (NSW) [[DISTORTION]] (all vinyl)

Showboat started listening to hardcore in 1994, came up through the Sydney rave & hardcore scenes and started spinning vinyl at gigs in 1996. First big booking was at one of Geoff da Chef's infamous Distortion parties and with that he became a regular in the Sydney hardcore scene. Showboat's preferred style is in the oldschool 1995-1997 Thunderdome style as well as speedcore from the era (along with a dash of the millennium style of 1998-2004). Making the pilgrimage to Thunderdome in Holland recently, Showboat has been inspired and re-energised to push the early rave sound & vinyl culture that made hardcore what it is.

SANFI [[BREAKCORE AUSTRALIA]] (live PA)

Sanfi (the artist formerly known as Sado) has been smashing out heavy jungle focused breakcore tunes since the mid `00s in Melbourne. A personal favourite, he produces with sharp amen break edits in dark drum n bass and breakcore tunes, including ragga flavours and occasional hardcore, acid and glitch elements.

SPEEDLOADER [[TEKNO MULISHA / VIRUS / AKA / GABBER SOCIETY]] (all vinyl)

DJ Speedloader has been scaring punters since 1991, creating havoc and smiles all round with his unique blend of hardcore and hard industrial tekno. Known mainly for exceeding the speed limits for, well, almost everything, and leaving a mass of sweating and exhausted people in his wake. After destroying crowds in Canberra, Sydney and across Australia, since moving to Melbourne he has been a resident at such hard music icons as Virus, AKA, Gabber Society, and for the last 10 years as part of the Tekno Mulisha crew- as well as guest spots at some fairly dodgy underground gigs here and interstate! Come and see why they still let this old bastard behind a set of decks and sweat it out with some of the hardest tunes of the last 29 years.

DECK JANIEL

A hardcore DJ from Germany and Croatia, spinning primarily Frenchcore and Gabberdisco style since 2016. Expect Axed's first Frenchcore set!

JOR TERROR [[TERRORDRANG / P.O.R.N.]] (all vinyl)

Jor first began DJing parties while attending high school in Holland in 1998. Always in the habit of playing faster hardcore tracks like Nasenbluten's 'C**tface', he was thus dubbed with the name 'Jor Terror' to help a punter know exactly what one should expect from his sets. Having played seminal Dutch events including P.O.R.N. (Akira), Noisekiks Verouderings Process & Terrormachine. In 2003 (along with two other crew members) Jor started to also promote his own shows. Mainly spinning oldschool terror and hardcore with a focus on 93-94 era tunes (the period when nobody knew exactly what they were doing, a predicament which usually ends up resulting in the best music).

NINJA GAIJIN [[SUBTERFUGE SEMINARS / TOXEMIA]]

Ben Ninja 'Tannu' Gaijin began playing in indie rock, improvised harsh guitar noise & grind/crust bands in 1997. Always passionate about music, Ben has worked in organizing and promoting parties, zine writing, music journalism/photography, hosting community radio shows, coding and maintaining band web-sites, band performances, DJing, sound engineering, freestyle and written rapping and Tuvan & Mongolian style throat-singing. In 2005 Ben shifted focus from bands to solo work in electronic productions and dj performance. After various projects, he now finds himself performing under the name 'Ninja Gaijin'. Ben's music attempts to juxtapose and fuse as many eclectic tones and rhythms into as short a space of time as possible, allowing a focus on lack of repetition as well as an aim towards unexpected variations.
